It wasn’t very long after I started reading Beautiful Chaos, that I couldn’t stand it anymore.  I had to flip to the last chapter to see what happened!  It was killing me.  Then I had to go back and read how they got there.  And now, I can’t wait to read the next one.

– Spoilers passed this point.-

It looks as though Ethan and Lena take more kicks than kisses.

Nothing in Gatlin is ever simply normal, but it seems the End of Days is near.  Due to Lena breaking the Order of Things by claiming herself Light and Dark, Gatlin is being run over repeatedly by lubbers (locusts), a record-breaking heat wave, and destroyed by natural disasters that aren’t so natural.  On top of all of that, the Castor’s powers were on the fritz while Abraham is still an immense threat to human and Caster alike.

Poor Ethan.  He handles strange quite well, but now he might just being going strange.   He is slowly losing his memories on top of having his taste buds reject his favorite foods.  If that wasn’t enough someone has a message for him.   The message he receives isn’t one that he wants to hear and it might just break Lena.

Meanwhile, Lena visits the place her parents once called home.  In the remains, she finds a link to who her mother had been.  As she learns about her mother in visions she shares with Ethan and in the pages of a book, she begins to feel for her.   Is her mother redeemable?   Should she try to save her mother?

While Link is adjusting well to his new situation, Ridley is not to hers.  While Link is looking like a rock star he always wanted to be and attracting the girls in droves, Ridley feels intense disgust at being a mere mortal.  She isn’t too pleased with Link either.
